Greater Washington Jump$tart Reality Store
The Reality Store is a real world money management simulation activity designed specifically for middle and high school students. It is intended to help students learn how to make informed financial decisions as well as explore career choices. Through this simulated experience, students are actively engaged with financial experts, GWJ$ volunteers, and service providers to make and justify their own real-world financial decisions. As they move from station to station, participants will learn about setting clear goals and creating realistic spending and budgeting plans. The Reality Store simulation helps students to identify their needs versus wants and consider the long term impact of their spending decisions.

Greater Washington Jump$tart Teacher Training
The Jump$tart Teacher Training event is a 1-2 day financial education professional development event that focuses on teachers as learners that allows teachers to focus on their own personal financial capability. The event also enables teachers to select and utilize quality financial education curricula and resources. The training is suitable for teachers at any grade level, regardless of the subject into which the teacher incorporates financial education. It also features a financial literacy resource fair to support the selection and use of high quality financial education materials.
